- Parallel Perspectives 14 to 16 March 2008 Anveshi, the EFL University, University of Hyderabad and Alliance Francaise, Documentary Circle of Hyderabad, jointly organized Parallel Perspectives, a 3-day festival of contemporary Indian and French documentary film on globalization ,culture and social change between 14th and 16 the March 2008. Fourteen widely acclaimed documentary films made during the previous decade were screened of which five were made in France. Amar Kanwar’s Night of Prophecy, Surabhi Sharma’s Jahaji Music, Hubert Sauper’s Darwin’s Nightmare, William Karel’s Dark Side of the Moon, Simone Bitton’s The Wall, Patricia Guzman’s Salvador Allende, Surpriyo Sen’s Way Back Home Amar Kanwar, Surabhi Sharma, Pankaj Kumar Rishi, Surpio Sen and Gautam Sonti were available for interaction with the audience.

The books were released by Prof Shanta Sinha, the (then) Chairperson of National Commission for Child Rights. The chief guest was Mr.A.Vidyasagar and Mr. M.A.Rafat from the Rajiv Vidya Mission.
2007
- Talk by Dr Ann Rossiter a leading socialist feminist from Ireland on Political Islam in Britain: State Policy, Cultural Representation and Feminist Responses, January 4th, 2007.
- Florence Howe who heads the Feminist Press, New York, accompanied by Shirley Mow, another member of the Press, visited Anveshi to celebrate the release of four volumes of Women Writing Africa. These acknowledge its inspiration from Women Writing India, which was first published by the Feminist Press. In the meeting organsied by Anveshi, the publishers spoke about Women Writing Africa and interacted with women writers in Hyderabad.
- Anveshi also organized meetings in Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages with Florence Howe to enable students to interact with her and also learn about feminist publishing; Shirley Mow to speak on their project on Women and Science in US at Hyderabad Central University that was attended a large number of women Science faculty.
