This book documents the oral history of women who participated in the Telangana People’s Struggle. First published in 1986, this was one of the earliest works, worldwide, to use oral sources for history writing. The introduction to the book raised questions about politics, historiography and language that went on to be hotly debated in Andhra Pradesh.
